Take in the wintry wonder of Yellowknife Northern Lights on a 4-day tour that combines aurora chasing tours, aboriginal culture experience and daytime outdoor activities with nights spent gazing up at the sky. Try your northern adventure at traditional sled dog racing in the snow, and decide later experience to add-on on last day of Yellowknife winter holiday experience.

Day 1: Arrival in Yellowknife & Nighttime Aurora Hunting

 Get picked up from your Yellowknife hotel or right from the airport to be dropped off at the hotel. Once night falls, leave the city lights behind and venture out into the vastness of the Northwest Territories, spending night chasing the aurora borealis and fueling up with snacks and warm drinks for 4 hours.

Day 2: Yellowknife Sightseeing Tour & Aurora Viewing at Aboriginal camp

 Set out in the morning for a comprehensive sightseeing tour of Yellowknife, checking out historic sites and natural landmarks. In the evening, get picked up for a short ride to Aboriginal camp in aboriginal community of Dettah. Enjoy local guide story telling whilst waiting for aurora in warm cabin filled with traditional home-made soup and bannock. At the end of night full of fun your driver will drop yo back to hotel.

Day 3: Dog Sledding Tour & Aurora Hunting

During the day, venture out to a dog sledding kennel, where you can meet and play with the friendly team of sled dogs—defending champions of the Canadian Dog Derby. Go for a thrilling ride along the snowy tracks, and learn about training and racing from the professional dog musher. At the end of tour your driver will drop you back to hotel to rest up for your nighttime excursion, which takes you out to track down the Northern Lights once again.

Day 4: Free to Explore

Last day is left open free time to explore on your own or add any of our seasonal activities on discounted rates. Optional add-ons available includes: Snowmobiling, Ice Fishing, Snowshoeing and Ice Road Adventure.

Day 5: 11:00 am Hotel Check-Out 

Hotel check out and Yellowknife airport transfer. Airport drop off's pick-up time commence 2 hours prior to your boarding time. .

Note: hotel room setup for package is based on one standard hotel room with one or two double beds.
